Virtual Courses

  • Virtual Virginia: The six online courses on integrating technology into instruction, previously administered through the Virginia Department of Education, and announced here are now administered through our Virtual Virginia program. The courses are provided at no cost to Virginia teachers.
  • Virginia's VPM Professional Development Resources: Sharpen your instructional skills with these professional development resources from Central Virginia's PBS Learning Media. 
  • North TIER: North TIER is a 501(c), non-profit collaborative partnership between 15 North Virginia preK-12 public and independent school divisions, higher educational partners (Germanna Community College and Colorado State University Online.
  • WHRO Education Services: The purpose of this course is designed to assist Virginia Educators in exploring and developing expertise with the various aspects of telecommunications tools as well as model the ways in which these tools can be used for personal learning and for integration into the teaching/learning process.

  • Leading Ed Forum: The Leading Ed Forum is a joint event sponsored by the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) and the Virginia Department of Education. The purpose is to enable division technology directors and specialists to communicate with each other regarding common interests and concerns.
