*All data collection is completed online through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) – Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety
**The term “safety audit” includes all six aspects of the Virginia School Safety Audit Program as administered by the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety within the DCJS:
- Virginia School Safety Survey (completed annually)
- The Division Level Survey (administered every three years)
- Virginia School Crisis Management Plan Review and Certification\verification (completed annually)
- Virginia Secondary School Climate Survey (administered in the spring of the year)
- The School Safety Inspection Checklist (due August 2014, then every three years thereafter) and a completed verification form (completed annually)
- The School Safety Audit Written Assessment Template (submitted to the Division Safety Audit Committee by December 31 of each year)
