"Our CTE programs are designed to provide students with crucial knowledge, skills and opportunities so they will be prepared for the future workforce needs of industry, government, local communities, and the Commonwealth,” VDOE Chief of Staff Jeremy Raley said.

“At a time when employers in both the public and private sectors are increasingly interested in whether job applicants can demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies, I’m thrilled the Creating Excellence Awards are recognizing exemplary CTE programs across the commonwealth,” said Virginia Community College System Chancellor David Doré.
